The Project consist in three parts:

An analysis of immigration to Poland processes scale and structure with regard to criteria of qualifications and types of jobs undertaken will include foreigners employment in Poland with classification for the UE and third countries citizens. It will consider the period of 2002-2008. The results will present the trends with division for citizenship, types of jobs undertaken as well as other features.

A socio-economic analysis of the role of temporary workers from the neighbouring countries employment in Poland before and in consequence of legislative changes as well as after joining the Schengen zone will include the period of 2002-2008. The analysis will be conducted on the basis of data illustrating the scale of workers from the neighbouring countries temporary employment with classification for the country of origin, works performed, time of stay on the territory of Poland and other features. An estimation attempt of the scale of foreign temporary workers in the twilight zone employment will be also accomplished.

The third part of the project includes an analysis of the demand for qualifications and specialization at the Polish labour market prognoses with an output from the Interdepartamental Team for Demand for Work Forecasting together with recommendations for a new prognosis preparation. It will also include a prognosis in the mid term (3-4 years) and long term (10-15 years) perspective from the immigration policy forming point of view.
